We are peacemakers, expressing God’s love in the world.
Long ago, a man called Johnny Appleseed roamed the wilderness of early America, sowing seeds that grew into apple trees that nourished a young nation. His gentle and kind nature, his generosity and vision, influenced generations.
In our day-to-day contacts with others, we also sow seeds–seeds of love, peace, and understanding. Centering ourselves in God’s loving presence, we become ambassadors of peace as we move through the activities of our day.
As we share and express love to others, we spread peace in the world. By demonstrating compassion, wisdom, and understanding, we sow the seeds of peace wherever we go, with whomever we meet.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”–Matthew 5:9
